For those of you who love David Archuleta… his new album comes out tomorrow. But you can get a sneak peak on AOL Music — listen to the full streaming album online today! Very cool.
Hi all — I have an iTouch, an iPod and just got my new 3G iPhone. I have purchased several cases online — the silicon type skin to protect my stuff. I love the orange one I found on eBay for my BlackBerry — but I’ve bought several variations for my ipod and they are literally horrible. Wasted money. One came and it was so flimsy that the edges bulged off the iTouch — not even tight and looked dumb.
So the past few days I’ve been searching all over for a cool looking case. They have some that are pretty sturdy and have good ratings, but they only come in either black, or gray, or some have blue or light pink. Just not my style.
I wanted an orange iphone case, or a purple itouch case, or even a lime green case. Something fun — but good quality.
Well, I finally found a company that let’s me customize my own iphone, ipod, itouch case. I’m getting a light purple with sage green side, and water droplets on the ipod, a red one for my upcoming 3G iphone, and haven’t quite decided about my iTouch (since my iPhone will replace that one.) But I love the idea of everyone getting to personalize their own skins — rather than just having a few standards. Plus, they are cheaper than many of the skins out there.
Anyway — check it out.
Okay — So this is the cutest thing ever.
If you want to have a big smile on your face — take a few minutes to watch Sabrina — a little 3 year old girl sing the Battle Hymn of the Republic.
Just a happy thought to share with you today!
Enjoy!

If you love to read — like I do — check out my new Amazon.com bookstore. I’m getting ready to move — and have hundreds of brand new books (or barely used books) that I’m trying to sell before I move. I have lots of LDS books, self-help or self-improvement books, business books, and much more.
I really hate to get rid of books, but I have way too many to move and I’m never going to read them all — so I decided finally to simplify my life and give others a great deal on great books.
I’ve just updated one of my weight loss websites with dieting, nutrition, fitness, and weight loss news feeds. You can read the latest articles and get the most updated information about various diets.
I don’t know about you — but I’m overrun with information — paper, mail, newsletters, emails, online news, television news, etc. How do we keep track of the important things, get rid of the non-important things and find stuff later on when we need it?
I just read a great article (or series of articles) about getting organized. Thought you might enjoy reading it as well…
Hi all,
I wrote a little while ago about The Secret — as shown on Oprah. And I’ve had a few comments about how the Law of Attraction works. I just wanted to share a little success story.
Two days ago, it seemed like everything was going wrong in my life. My TV went out. My laptop crashed (with 2 weeks of a huge project going with it, and irreplaceable journal entries). I have been looking for a new roommate and the only ones who have responded to the ads don’t speak English. Money has been tight. I’ve been very sick with pneumonia and bronchitis for the past 2 months. Taxes are coming due. My back and neck have been really bad from an accident 2 years ago, and the pain was becoming unbearable.
Needless to say, things were not feeling very good in my life. I didn’t want to focus on the negatives, but they seemed to keep popping up, demanding my attention.
But I want to bring good things into my life. I want to create and have good energy and focus on the many, many blessings that I have.
I got up yesterday morning and decided “Today is a new day”. I am going to deal with each thing today one at a time, and not let myself get overloaded, and not worry. I’ll just do the best I can and think about how blessed I am.
The day started with my sister-in-law calling me out of the blue. She thanked me for a bed-skirt I gave her last week. She told me that she had been feeling sad and kind of neglected, and had been thinking that she really wanted a new bedskirt. It was something she wouldn’t buy for herself, and she hadn’t told anyone that was what she wanted. But then out of the blue, at a family gathering, I told her, I’m not sure if you would want this bedskirt, but it’s too big for my bed and I thought I’d give it to someone who might need it. She was so happy. So, she called me to thank me — and to express her appreciation that the Lord knew her, knew what her heart desired, and it was just a small and simple thing — but it told her that she was loved. It also reminded me that just a small thing can make a huge difference in someone’s life. One little phone call reminded me that I am appreciated.
I was so grateful for that call. Sometimes I think we get so busy in our daily lives, that we forget to appreciate each other — to express gratitude! I want so much to remember and let people know how much they mean to me.
Well, then I ended up going to the Business Expo at UVSC. I decided “I’m going to win something!” I made some great new business contacts, got a free ticket for the event (including lunch), and had a great time. I came home and had a phone call — I had won a prize! (A golf bag! — and not that I golf — but I’m auctioning it off and will probably come out $100 richer). Very cool. I was so happy that I won something! — I’m still waiting for the call telling me that I won the spa trip!
I took my laptop in and they told me it was likely my hard drive had crashed (thus, losing all my data). I decided that the Lord knew best, and if I had to redo things then I would make it better the second time around. It was also going to cost a few hundred dollars to fix. BUT the guy asked if it was under warrantee — I certainly didn’t think so. It was a hand-me-down laptop (about 3 years old) — but he looked it up and YES!!!! It was covered. I felt so blessed!!!!
Later the repair shop called, and my hard drive was fine — it was just the logic board which needed to be replaced. So by next week, I should have a working computer and all of my data back. Again, I felt so blessed!
I really learned yesterday — about The Secret and how it works. I think it’s a daily thing — reminding ourselves about what to think about, what to focus on, and remembering our blessings. Even the little things… it changes us. It may not change the problems… but it changes us — it changes our experience. It changes if we can be happy even when there are problems.
Anyway, I know this is a very long post, but I wanted to share my little success yesterday with the principles behind The Secret.
I would love to hear any of your success stories! Please feel free to share.
Do any of you procrastinate? I do for sure! Huge projects are the worst for me — such as organizing my scrapbook room (packed closet, shelves filled with papers, embellishments, binders, photos, etc.) I just don’t have the 10-12 hours I think it’s going to take to do it, so I think, I’ll get to it later. But I never have 10-12 hours straight to get to it. So I just pile new stuff on top of old stuff and hope I won’t need something at the bottom.
But this is the year I’m going to get completely organized! I’ve told myself that if I just do small things each day, then I won’t get overwhelmed and gradually it will get done. It actually works!
I’ve organized at least 10 drawers, cleaned off 3 shelves, and soon will get to the scrapbook shelves. It feels so good. I’m giving away things I haven’t used for years (to people who will use and appreciate them) — that feels good too.
Anyway, a little bit each day will get us where we want to go eventually. I find that scrapbooking is the same way. I sometimes procrastinate that too because I know once I pull out all of my pictures, it’s going to take a few hours to get in the groove again. I wish I had space where I could just leave everything out and then do one or two pages each day. In my next house, I’m going to create a countertop/table space just for that.
But as it stands now, I’ll just keep plugging away room by room in my house and eventually (this year) I’ll be organized! Yeah!
For those of you who take your scrapbooking to the level of adding in family history and genealogy — or those who want to start working on their genealogy — check out this Genealogy and Family History site. It has good information and resources for both beginners and family history buffs.
