Digital Scrapbooking Software

I’m looking for great digital scrapbooking software. Does anyone have recommendations? I have used 5-6 different versions but nothing that does everything that I want it to do? I’d love feedback on existing digital scrapbooking software products.

Thanks

Men Who Scrapbook

Currently industry experts say that 99% of scrapbookers are women. Most are women who like to get out and socialize, be with their friends and still be making something which connects them to their families. That leaves 1 percent of scrapbookers across the country as men. Perhaps the men involved in the scrapbooking industry are more behind the scenes as business owners, investors, and designers. I predict that as family history and genealogy are combined with scrapbooking we may see men participating more. Perhaps men won’t desire to lay out scrapbook pages, but certainly in the digital scrapbooking arena they will feel more at home. Especially as digital scrapbooking becomes more customizable with more masculine pages to select — and the ability to make home movies “moving scrapbooks” from digital photos. It will be fun to see where the industry takes us.

Adhesive Remover

Have you ever glued down photos either on a poster for school, or in a scrapbook album, and then come back some time later and realized you don’t like the look of the page, or want to change things around. I’ve done that and have felt stuck. I have tried to pull photos off the page and they either tear, or bend and are ruined. It’s so frustrating, because I want to keep the photo, but don’t like what I did with it.

Well, I’ve found a great new invention. It’s an adhesive remover. It is a liquid that you apply to stickers, photos, or anything with glue on the back. It basically dissolves the adhesive and allows you to pull up the photo with no damage. It also does not leave any indication of the remover once it dries. It’s a great invention, and I highly recommend you buy at least one bottle.

A great option is UN-DU Adhesive Remover, 4oz Bottle. I think it sells for about $7.00.

You know they would love anything to do with scrapbooking, but how do you choose? I have discovered that Scrapbook.com has GIFT CERTIFICATES!

Wouldn’t that be the perfect gift? A shopping spree for everything they have been wanting but haven’t been able to buy.

Anyway, if you’re looking for a great gift idea for the scrapbooker in your life get a $200 Electronic Gift Certificate. They’ll be thrilled! (The certificates are also available in other price ranges.)

Memory Makers – Scrapbook Magazine

Memory Makers is another great magazine for scrapbook ideas. It generally includes a variety of fun designs with step-by-step instructions. Also includes tips and tricks, reviews on the latest tools and supplies. It’s worth a few dollars each year to update your scrapbook knowledge and learn what other scrapbookers are doing across the country.

FBI Warns about Fake Hurricane Katrina Websites

The FBI has estimated that 60 of the 4,000 websites which claim to offer relief for Hurricane Katrina victims are bogus. Most are hosted over seas and are collecting money illegally. Some even pretend to be the Red Cross or associated with the Red Cross. Some sites have been shut down, but many are still operating. There are even phishers (sending emails which look offical, coming from an actual charity, that lead you to websites which also look official, but are actually collecting personal financial information and money for themselves and are not associated with real charities).

The best protection is to not click on links to go to charity websites — but to type the charity name into your web browser — such as www.redcross.org. If you want to help go directly to the Salvation Army, the Red Cross or your local government agencies and donate, that way you can be sure your donation is actually going to assist those who are in need.
